Training
reaches Punjab, NWFP and Sindh
PIFRA
FABS Training wing is showing excellent progress. In
August to December 2005, this wing conducted various
trainings sessions for DDOs. The trainings were planned
in two phases commencing from Sept to Nov 2005. Phase
I was completed with training of all the DDOs in the
District of Rollout sites and Replication sites in NWFP.
In Punjab and Sindh there were 10 sites in phase I while
in phase II, there were 22 sites. The training of phase
II was conducted for two days in every District.
In Sindh, there were 3 sites including Sukkur, Larkana
and Nawabshah, while there were 13 sites in NWFP. After
the completion of Phase I, Phase II training for devolved
DDOs started in the remaining Districts of Punjab and
NWFP exclusively. The course covered the contents on
New Chart of Accounts and preparation of District Budget
on the New Chart of Accounts for BCC. The main aim was
to facilitate the devolved DDOs in Punjab and NWFP for
the preparation of their ‘Annual Budget for 2006-07’
on the basis of New Chart of Accounts. During the course
of training sessions from September to December 2005,
4470 DDOs, 257 DAOs, 2 Treasury staff and 7 officials
of Finance Department were trained in Punjab and NWFP.
Further more, the FABS training wing will also conduct
the training of DAO staff in FOTC AG Office Lahore.
