  • PIFRA II Achievements in NWFP
Regional Directorate Peshawar is working day and night to achieve the goal of making the whole province productive on NAM/SAP/R3 by September 2006 after declaring NWFP as a pilot province. This driving force enabled productivity for five District Accounts Offices i.e. Haripur, Mansehra, Hangu, Malakand and Swabi in the month of January 2006. It is a remarkable achievement by Regional Director (RD) NWFP to make the highest number of sites productive in one month. Another milestone achieved by RD NWFP with the help of SAP Competency Center (CC) is the conversion of current year’s budget for District Government on SAP/R3 using codes from Chart of Accounts. PIFRA Directorate is extending full cooperation to all Executive District Officers (Finance & Planning) to enable them to prepare their upcoming budget according to NAM on SAP/R3. The Regional Directorate has provided equipment, furniture and LAN connectivity to 18 EDOs in order to enhance their capacity, while the remaining 06 EDOs will be provided with all these facilities in the near future.

Moreover, training on pension module was imparted to the staff of AG, NWFP and AGPR sub office Peshawar. Test run of the pension module is in progress in AG office NWFP and after the successful test run, the pension module will be made operational. Workshop on GP fund module workflow was conducted and proposal was made to PIFRA CC to adopt it unanimously and bring it into conformity with Accounting Policies and Procedure Manual (APPM). The most challenging task of bringing manual sites on NAM/SAP/R3 has been started with one Agency Accounts Office Khyber and three District Accounts Offices of Karak, Tank and Lakki Marwat. Input forms have been distributed among the DDOs of these four sites. Training of DDOs in filling up of input forms have completed along with the completion of civil and electric works at DAOs Bannu, Kohat and D.I Khan. These sites are now connected through DXX line with main server and the staff has started working in their offices.

Dy. Chief Engineer has prepared estimates/BOQs of 10 sites in NWFP under the supervision of D.G (operation) Mr. Farooq Ahmad Khan. Moreover, a thorough survey was conducted for WAN connectivity by the Director WAN staff and Regional Director PIFRA Directorate. 12 sites have been advertised in the National Press for Radio-Link connectivity and 09 sites for NWFP.
