There is nothing more difficult to carry out, nor more doubtful of success, nor more dangerous to handle, then to initiate a new order of things.

Laugh A Joke
A very successful partner in a big six firm had a peculiar habit. He will go to his desk open a locked drawer, look inside, lock the drawer again, and start his work.
His subordinates knew that he hid the secret of his success in the drawer, they waited for the opportunity.
One day when the partner had gone out of the city, the juniors decided to make a break. They broke into the drawer, breathlessly, and looked inside. There was one small piece of paper inside - it said - "left is debit and right is credit."

  • Evolution Towards a New Paradigm
The OS/DB Migration from window based servers to UNIX based server has started and the development of the Production system for AG NWFP, AG Punjab, FD Punjab, FD Sindh and MOF have successfully been migrated. The work on the remaining Roll-out sites is in progress but requires bigger and faster machines to implement it in a smooth and effective manner at the current production sites. Three more replication sites have been made productive in the current reporting period, which includes; DAO Banu, DAO Upper and Lower Dir. With this the number of production sites now stands 45. Similarly, DAO Rawalpindi, DAO Gujranwala and DAO Larkana are expected to go productive in the month of April 2006, with the additional hard work to implement the workflow.

Numerous workshops were organized for the implementation of pension and GP fund modules by the CGA in which the concerned staff from all major offices participated. The major purpose of these workshops were to help highlight and identify the current implemented status of these functionalities in the system and identify steps to be undertaken by the sites to make them fully operational. The AGPR Islamabad has successfully implemented the Pension and GP Fund module during the current reporting period.
