WAN Connectivity is interlinked to AGPR, DAO Rawalpindi from AGP Islamabad.



  • Radio Links for Wider Area Network Connectivity
    In March, 2006 tender for the supply and installation of Radio Link in WAN connectivity required for DAO Karak to DAO Bannu, DAO Swabi to DAO Mardan, DAO Laki Marwat to DAO Bannu, AAO Tank to DAO Dera Ismail Khan, Finance Department Peshawar to AG Peshawar, AAO Khyber Agency to AG Peshawar, Provincial Treasury office Karachi to AG Sindh, Federal Treasury Karachi to AG Sindh, EDO Finance Peshawar to AG Peshawar, DAO Laki Marwat to AAO Tank and Audit House to AGPR Islamabad, and opened in April 2006. Cyber Internet Service (CIS) has been assigned for the work of WAN connectivity through Radio Link technology of these sites. Currently, it is trying its best level to establish the Radio Connectivity from Audit House to AGPR Islamabad and DAO Rawalpindi.

    Further-more, DXX Fiber Optic circuits are being acquired for the up coming Roll out sites in Punjab and NWFP including Jehlum, Sheikhupura, Sahiwal, Rahim Yar Khan, AATI Lahore, Okara, DG Kan, Khanewal, Kasur, Kohat, Mansehra, Dir at Timergra, Haripur and Hungo. Routers have been also procured for Fiber Optic connectivity. The core Network of Optic Fiber has already been laid down between the Federal and Provincial AGs Headquarters. Now National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) is working on the installation of Fiber equipment in above mentioned headquarters. In Sindh three more sites like Khair pur, Dadu and Ghotki are under process for WAN Connectivity as far as Islamabad is concerned Wan Connectivity has been successfully done from Planning Commission to Audit House. Recently, WAN Connectivity has been established for Central Board of Revenue (CBR) office.
