Success
story of PIFRA Directorate Lahore
Pursuing
with the targets of PIFRA II, the PIFRA Directorate
Lahore have made a substantial progress with reference
to Civil and Electric work on the Roll-out sites by
connectivity transformer and meter making 95% work achievement.
Moreover, trainings in collaboration with AATI on FI
and HR Modules of SAP/R3 were imparted to the officers/officials
from DAOs keeping in view the workflow and functionality
of the system. The activation of Roll-out sites in Phase
started off in July while Gujranwala has been productive
since May 2006. Where its accounts have been generated
through SAP/R3 by DAO staff with the help of Siemens.
Workshop regarding the impending issues of the Pension
Module was held on April 28,2006; chaired by Project
Director PIFRA, M/s Siemens, Accountant General Punjab,
Addl AG AGPR sub office Lahore along with their respected
teams to discuss and suggest parameters for significant
improvements in the Pension System. The Director FABS
urged that all the additional requirements by the users
and solutions provided by M/s Siemens be routed through
Pension Validation Committee (PVC) constituted by Deputy
CGA to ensure uniformity. In this background the pension
Lab was inaugurated by CGA. Necessary trainings have
already been undertaken to trainers the officials of
Pension section for smooth operation of the system.
Another dimension of FABS component is to prepare the
District Budgets on NAM/SAP and for this purpose a two
days seminar was held in Lahore to give orientation
of District Budgeting System under NAM/SAP-R3 to EDOs
and DAOs. An executive visit was carried out by Deputy
Director PIFRA Lahore so as to ensure coordination between
PIFRA and EDOs. Most of the EDOs staff have been trained
regarding preparation of Budget and for this purpose
a 10 days session was held in AATI Lahore..
