First
Replication Site of NWFP goes Productive
The productivity of District Account Office Shangla
w.e.f November 1, 2005 now constitutes of 14 sites on
SAP/R3 system and is the first Replication site of NWFP
after the successful completion of the Roll-out phase.
Efforts are on to bring all the sites of the NWFP on
SAP/R3 as per the World Bank’s targets. Eight
more sites, which are DAO Sawabi, DAO Hangu, DAO Mansehra
, DAO Dir-Timergara, DAO Dir, DAO Bunir, DAO Malakand
and DAO Haripur. These sites have Replication status
and COBOL existing system. These sites are planned to
be productive in the months of January and February
2006.Training of resource persons from these sites are
in full swing at the Audit & Accounts Training Institute
(AATI) Peshawar. It is worth mentioning that training
is being conducted by our own Master trainers since
2002, when the first training was imparted by the PWC
and Siemens.
The connectivity problems of DAO’s Charsada, Nowshera
and Mardan have been solved. These sites have been connected
with the AG server Peshawar through Radio links. This
solution is the first application of its kind in the
area of connectivity of PIFRA sites.
