  • PIFRA Progress in AG Office
    Activities pertinent to the implementation of PIFRA II are under way in all the provinces to achieve the desired results as foreseen in the PC-I of the project. A program for Training of Trainers (TOT) was launched at the Pakistan Audit and Accounts Academy Quetta for 15 days starting from 6th of March 2006 for over 2,000 DDOs from the Provincial Government. The training program was inaugurated by Mr. KB Rind, Chief Secretary and Mr. Mahfooz Ali Khan, Secretary Finance, Balochistan. Activities pertinent to the implementation of PIFRA II are under way in all the provinces to achieve the desired results as foreseen in the PC-I of the project. The training program was inaugurated by Mr. KB Rind, Chief Secretary and Mr. Mahfooz Ali Khan, Secretary Finance, Balochistan.

    Numerous visits were conducted during the month of February to inspect the new offices/blocks hired by AG Balochistan for the purpose of establishing Field Office Training Center (FOTC) and computer labs. Meetings were held in this regard with Mr. Abdul Waheed Sheikh Executive District Officer (Revenue) during which it was decided that the District Government would get the remaining work completed so that, the Training officers could be shifted to the new premises as soon as possible.
    The AGPR, Sub-office and Treasury offices Quetta were also visited to inspect the incomplete work by the contractor and was recommended that a committee comprising of the Accountant General Balochistan, the Director General (OP) PIFRA Quetta and the Additional Accountant General AGPR, (Sub-offices), Quetta would be constituted to resolve the matter as early as possible.
