Training-Backbone of PIFRA Project

Training Department of any organization cannot be overshadowed as it plays a pivotal role in transmitting information to the employees. They ensure the provision of suitable programs to all its officers and staff, so that work is handled in a cost effective and efficient manner by the right people with the right kind of knowledge, skills and attitudes. PIFRA’s training component has been accorded highest of priorities among PAD programmes, because of the focuses on up-gradation of knowledge and skills of personnel with new system and techniques to bring about a change in their attitudes for achieving greatest organizational effectiveness and to attain high levels of efficiency.

PIFRA Training Component has been working with great zest and zeal in imparting adequate knowledge and improving the skills of the staff and officers under PIFRA regime and have trained around 530 officers/officials in SAP R/3, HR and FI modules. Regarding training in NAM/COA, 3400 DDOs / DAOs in the four provinces have been trained, meeting the target line of year ended December 2006.

Training Component of PIFRA has not limited their trainings for the Office of Auditor General of Pakistan, CGA and its sub-offices only but has provided its services to other government agencies as well; and in pursuance to this, a two day workshop was organized for the employees of CBR on 20th and 21st November 2006 which was an orientation session in Financial Audit Manual and Working paper kit. Similarly, training on Implementation of Financial Audit Manual and Working Paper Kit in Revenue Receipt Audit has been successfully completed at the office of RRA Lahore and Federal Audit Islamabad.

The training component is working hard in transmitting knowledge across all government agencies. 28 master trainers in NAM/COA have been trained to further impart trainings in Districts of AJK, which is expected to commence this month. With this kind of energy and dedication, time is not far ahead when every single person working in the government will be trained on the new system thereby making all efforts to meet the objectives and vision of PIFRA Project.
