Workshops on Civil Accounts Compilation

Sindh, like other provinces is also making headway towards achieving the targets of training and automating the entire province. Efforts are laid down by the expert trainers whose untiring dedication, planning and drive towards organizing workshops is paving way towards meeting the targets. In this regard, two workshops on Monthly Civil Accounts and its compilation were organized. The first workshop was held on the 7th of November 2006 at Ghotki in which around 10 DAOs participated. The workshop was based on redressing the issues pertaining to the compilation of Monthly Civil Accounts through SAP/R3.

At the closing ceremony of the workshop, the Accountant General Sindh Mr. Zulfikar Ali Kadri highlighted upon the importance of Monthly Civil Accounts and its compilation. He instructed the DAOs to prepare the accounts in accordance with the format and guidance provided to them in the workshop. The District Nazim of Ghotki, Sardar Ali Gohar Khan assured the full support and cooperation of District Administration to the DAOs and the AG Sindh whenever required.

The second workshop similar to the first one was held on 14 November 2006, at Mithi, in which around 12 DAOs participated. The AG Sindh graced the closing ceremony of the workshop and expressed his gratitude towards the District Nazim and District Coordination officer for making the event successful. He appreciated the interest shown by the participants and their urge to learn.

Moreover, Mr. Arbab Anwar, the District Nazim of Mithi, in his closing remarks acknowledged the importance of the workshop and assured that the District Administration would always extend its cooperation towards DAOs.

Mr. Khalid Mehboob, DAG, Mr. Azeez Ahmed, DAG, Mr. Kamran Shamim AO of AG Sindh and Mr. Rana Asif FI specialist from PIFRA Directorate Karachi, were among the trainers of the workshops.
