Achievements by Regional Directorate Lahore

The last quarter of 2006 witnessed substantial achievements regarding the progress in respect of Roll-out sites as well as Replication sites. Roll out site of DAO Bhawalpur has been declared productive and efforts are being concentrated to make the sites of DAO Multan, DAO Khanewal and DAO Kasur productive. The structural work at all Replication sites is continuing at full pace.

The civil and electrical work at the sites of DAO Sialkot and DAO Attock have also been completed except for electrical connectivity while the sites of DAO Narowal, Layyah, Bhakkar and Vehari are at advanced stage of completion.

In addition to the physical progress in the areas of structural work and Data Migration, the most significant achievement has been the activation of Pension Module at the sites of AG Punjab and AGPR (SO) Lahore. PIFRA Directorate in collaboration with AATI is imparting training in FI and HR Modules of SAP R/3 under FAB Component. Total 130 officers/officials from different offices namely AG Punjab, AGPR (SO) Lahore, and all Roll out sites have been trained so far during the months of November and December 2006. A new experiment i.e. utilization of AGPR (SO) Lahore roll-out site lab also turned out to be successful.

A parallel training has also been conducted at FD Punjab for the staff of EDOs Gujrat, Multan, Sheikhupura, Sahiwal and Okara. The main purpose of these trainings was to equip the staff of EDOs with the skills of Budget Data Entry, thereby enabling them to prepare the budget of 2007-08 on SAP/R3 System.
