3rd World Bank Review Mission
Visit
World Bank review mission made their 3rd visit to OAGP
so as to review the progress in implementation of PIFRA
II, from December 5-18, 2006. During their stay, they
visited the project sites in Islamabad and Peshawar and
met with various officials at these sites as well as held
meetings in the Offices of the Auditor General of Pakistan,
Controller General of Accounts, Ministry of Finance, PIFRA
Directorate and project teams implementing the project.
At the Office of the Auditor General of Pakistan on December
5, 2006, the World Bank Mission reviewed the progress
of all the PIFRA components through presentations delivered
by all the Component Managers. The Mission was satisfied
with the zeal and enthusiasm displayed at all levels by
the team members in meeting the project’s goals
and objectives as envisaged in PC-1.
During the visit of the Mission, NWFP went online. The
Mission participated in the inauguration ceremony and
acknowledged the meritorious efforts put in by the competent
staff of NWFP.
The Mission on the last day of their visit showed their
satisfaction towards the progress made by all the components.
The next visit of the Mission is due in Mid April this
year.
